JoSAA Seat Allotment Result
After the two mock seat allocation , Final JoSAA Seat Allotment will be held in 6-7 rounds. The candidate s will be allocated seat based on your Rank in Jee Main and JEE ADVANCED and choices filled during online registration. You can view the seat allotment result by logging into their account using application number and password.
If you got a seat then download the provisional seat allotment letter and pay the seat acceptance fee of Rs 35000(for General, OBC,EWS) and 15000 for (SC,ST,GEN-PwD, GEN-EWS-PwD , OBC-NCL-Pwd, SC-PwD ). Once the seat acceptance fees is paid , you will have to report to the reporting center(RC) for document Verification.
. At the time of accepting the seat online, a candidate has to opt for any
one of the options ‘freeze’, ‘slide’ or ‘float’ for the choice of academic
program for subsequent round(s), if any, of joint seat allocation (in case if
the candidate has been allocated seat as per his/her first choice, above
option will not be available).
👉 (A) Freeze : Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that they are
content with the allocated academic program and that they do not want
to participate in further rounds of seat allocation. Such candidates will
NOT be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
👉 (B) Float : Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if
admission to an academic program of better/higher preference in any
Institute is offered, they will accept it. Else, they will continue with the
currently accepted academic program. Such candidates will be considered
in subsequent rounds of admission.
👉 (C) Slide : Candidates accept the offered seat and indicate that, if
admission to an academic program of better / higher preference is
offered within the same Institute, they will accept it. Such candidates will
be considered in subsequent rounds of admission.
(D) For candidates who choose the float or slide option, allocation of a
seat in an academic program of his/her higher preference would
automatically result in the forfeiture of the seat accepted by the
candidate in the earlier round.
